This document explains how to fill PDF forms using Acrobat or Reader desktop application.
Is the course fillable?
Non all forms are fillable. Sometimes course creators don't convert their PDFs to interactive fillable forms. Or, they intentionally design a form that you can fill up in just by paw or with the Make full & Sign tool. These non-interactive forms are called flat forms.
Fill in interactive forms
An interactive class contains fields that you tin can select or fill in.
A. Purple message bar indicates presence of fillable fields.B. When clicked, shows where fillable fields exist.
-
If necessary, right-click the document, and select either the Paw Tool or the Select Tool from the popular-up bill of fare.
The arrow changes to a dissimilar icon as you movement it over a field. For example, the Hand tool changes to an I-axle when you can type text into the course field. Some text fields are dynamic, meaning that they automatically resize to accommodate the corporeality of data you enter and tin span across pages.
-
(Optional) To brand form fields easier to identify, click the Highlight Existing Fields button on the document bulletin bar. Form fields appear with a colored groundwork (low-cal blue past default), and all required form fields are outlined in another color (red by default).
-
Click to select options, such every bit radio buttons. Click inside a text field to type.
Press Tab to move forward or Shift+Tab to move backward.
-
When finished, click the submit push to either ship the data to a server or create an email to send the data. The submit button can appear in the purple message bar at the top of the form or in the class content.
For troubleshooting tips on completing forms, encounter Troubleshooting forms.
A apartment form does not have interactive fields. Still, you tin use the Fill & Sign tools to add text and other symbols anywhere on the course. For instructions, see Fill out your PDF form.

If the form does non contain interactive fields, you lot can employ the Fill up & Sign tools to make full out the grade. Relieve the class on your computer, then open up information technology directly in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. For instructions, see Fill up out your PDF grade.
